Well it's been a while.
A lot has happened and is still happening. The genocide in Gaza, the NATO aggression in Ukraine and a million other wars being inflicted on the world, backed by the so-called "West", which is essentially the US and their vassal states like the UK, Japan, the EU, etc.
Western countries. Beacons of civilisation, of human rights. Equality for all!
Fucking animals the lot of them.
Children are literally being murdered by their forces in Gaza whilst a lot of their population cheer it on.
Yea I know... I know... there have been protest after protest and I commend those people. Merely speaking up against starving children to death in Gaza can destroy your life in those countries, so I have nothing but respect for them and their bravery.
Hell, they're much braver than me.
Our life here is comfortable, but very fragile, and I've experienced firsthand how it can come crumbling down quickly and whilst I know that my first priority is my family, the shame lingers as it should.
But it still feels like the majority of Westerners support the Zionists. Or maybe it's only their governments? It's hard to tell now, with legacy and mainstream media being heavily in favour of the genocide.
But that's not what I want to write about now.
Now to clear up any doubts, I want to state this very clearly: I absolutely support Russia in the war in Ukraine.
I mean it's simple, really. Anytime I see two sides, I look at which one has Nazis, and I support the other guys.
And anybody who brings up "but... but...iNterNationAl laW~!" can fuck right off.
Not only were the ethnic Russians in the Donbass being ethnically cleansed, but Ukraine and NATO had assembled the second-largest army in Europe, whilst making direct threats against Russia.
Hell, how many times have the West threatened to balkanise Russia, as if the (failed) sanctions (which mainly targeted the civilian population by the way, with the main aim of crippling their economy) weren't enough?
What the hell kind of responsible leader would simply allow the enemy to get into perfect position to invade and conquer and (neo-) colonise or break up your country?
Na. In fact, I wish Russia had acted much earlier.
And in addition, I strongly condemn the terrorist attacks on Russians, whether in the Donbass, or Belgorod or anywhere else.
The fucking cowards who attacked the theater must be found and punished severely.
But I can't help feeling disappointed. Depressed.
Now I know my feelings mean fuck-all, and with all the horrifying shit that's going on, I'm aware of how self-absorbed this seems (or is? Is), but I feel it nonetheless.
The brutal torture of the suspects (some now convicted) and trumpeting of it, the parading of those recently tortured in the courtroom, whilst seeing more and more Russians and their supporters cheering it on.
Whenever someone condemns it, they're attacked as supporters or terrorism, that they're hypocrites, that their opinion means nothing, etc.
The torture is justified you see, because they're guilty. Even though they were tortured before even seeing the courthouse, and they'll be tortured afterwards.
It is immensely depressing.
I'm old enough to remember when people like ME were targeted just after 9-11.
Hell, these people are using the exact same words and justifications as the Westerners were, to justify mass torture and murder and mass surveillance of Brown and Muslim populations.
Torture should never be justified.
Not morally, not legally. It is also not practical, and you don't get reliable information from it.
All it does is satisfy the thirst for revenge, and once the main targets are done with, those who still thirst for it will turn to others, even the innocent.
And what was the fucking point of the courtroom in any case? Putting them on display like that? Fucking hell.
If the motherfucking government approves of this, do you think that you, as a citizen will be safe? At some point it'll be directed at you, or those like you regardless of whether you're convinced it'll never happen.
The ones who torture do not give a fuck about justice and fairness. Innocents will get caught up in it and then what? It simply perpetuates the cycle of violence.
So even if you don't give a damn about the moral aspect, it is also not practical. At all.
Tajiks will eventually be targeted for discrimination. Racist comments at best, violence at worst.
Already there's a statement by the head of the Russian Orthodox Church about how immigrants in Russia must abide by Russian rules and customs. And there's probably more statements like that made by government officials.
They always take advantage. Always.
Fuck. I had such high hopes for Russia. I mean yea, other countries around the world, which appear to be "civilised" also engage in torture. But to have it endorsed and encouraged like this, is something else.
I am against torture. Those who engage it in willingly remove part of their soul. It damages you permanently. Takes away a part of your humanity.
Do I still support Russia in the ongoing war against NATO in Ukraine? Absolutely.
But the endorsement of torture, again, is immensely disappointing. I had hoped that at least the legal system in Russia would be better than the West.
There's more I'd like to say, but I'm tired now. So very tired.
Well enough of that.
